Project Recon:
Research Connect
HOME OF IDEAS AND INDIVIDUALS
FAQ
WHAT DO WE DO?
This is an initiative designed specifically for academic researchers who are currently engaged in research through projects or courses - at the
Masters level
-
We connect interested researchers with Mentors - individuals who have attained a Phd.
-
Once connected, we facilitate the terms of collaboration between the two parties.
This is primarily a Mentorship initiative so the accepted researchers will receive guidance, consultation and tutoring from the Mentor on the project being worked on.
Having said that, the terms of collaboration between the two parties are highly flexible and will be designed to suit the requirements of both parties once the researcher is accepted to the initiative.
HOW TO APPLY ?
There is a downloadable application form on the website which is required to be completed and submitted to projectrecon.sikkim@gmail.com by interested individuals.
Please be informed that we are accepting only researchers who are researching topics / ideas pertaining to the state of Sikkim. For eg, topics like 'Politics of Identity in West Bengal' will not be considered.
Once the initiative acquires Mentors that have expertise in such topics, we will offer that option
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION ?
Once you have submitted the completed Application form:
-
It will be reviewed by the Mentor and the initiative Director.
-
Accepted researchers will be contacted within 2 days of submission for a short meeting with the Director of the initiative.
-
During this meeting the researcher will be briefed further on the Terms of Collaboration with the Mentor and Terms and Conditions of the initiative.
If terms are agreeable to both parties, the collaboration will start !
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER ACCEPTANCE ?
Having determined the Terms of Collaboration:
-
The two parties will work toward producing reliable data / information on the topic of the Researcher's thesis / project.
-
The focus will solely be on developing the quality of the project and its completion.
Having delivered quality research at completion
We will publish the work and work toward increasing the profile of the researcher involved
