Melancholia
Gasping for Breath,
Behind the shut doors of a clammy bathroom she popped a pill
Out sprung a smiling lady donned in laces and frill.
Her heart pounded beneath the masked stillness
Hush! Lest the world would beknown to her illness ...
Oh ! How she wished she had a fracture instead.
At least she would be entitled to some care, love, flowers, a hospital bed
She was depressed and suicidal
Yet, in front of the world she staged a blissful portrayal.
The noose at the back of her cupboard smirked.
The rope knew well, about the countless attempts and trials that lurked.
She succeeded eventually ...
We lose another patient to depression
No ! The treatment works fine
It was the suppression in fear of discrimination
